Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program also known as 4Ps is one of the program of the government that invest in the health and education of the poorest household which has a child aged 0 - 14 years old, including pregnant women. This program operates in 79 provinces covering 1,261 municipalities and 138 key cities in all 17 regions nationwide. The program has 3,014,586 registered households as of 27 June 2012.
This program is the same to the cash transfer scheme implemented in other developing countries. The program provides cash grants to beneficiaries provided that they comply with the set of condition required by the program. Pantawid Pamilya will help the poor family to send their children to school and provide their basic needs and proper nutrition. Also it helps to provide good nutrition to the pregnant women.
Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program is a helpful program to the needy individual but some beneficiaries are using it as their main source of income instead of looking a job for their additional income. And some politician are using it in their candidacy.
Is this program will become successful in reducing poverty in the country or not ?
for me, this program can really help the Filipinos especially the needy. but, there are also some points wherein this program is not helpful, it is because there are some who can avail of this program even if they're not really poor.

Hindi lahat makinabang sa 4PS. Karamihan hindi mahirap nakakuha nito kundi yong mga middle class family at hindi talaga yung poor family. Napadaan ako isang araw noong nag release ang 4PS pero ang nakita ko ang daming klase klaseng ang naka parking sa gilid ng daan hang gang sa ibang parking lot. Akala ko kung anong event ang naganap kasi ang daming sasakyan. Nagtanong ako kung bakit nag kalat and mga sasakyan dito ano ba , may fiesta ba kasi sobra sobra and dami ng sasakyan na naka parking. Sagot sa akin ng akoy nag tanong. Release po ngayon ng 4PS. Namangha ako, HA! halos2 may sasakyan yong kumuha ng pera sa 4PS? sabi nya OO. Sabi ko lahat ba makakuha ng 4PS sabi nya ay OO. Nagtanong ako sa Misis ko kung ang manugang ko ay miembro din sa 4PS, sabi nya sa akin ay wala. Nakasabi ako bakit wala. sabi niya sa akin ewan ko. Sabi niya mag depende yan sa sinong mag lista kung cno ang miembro. Sabi ko sa sarili cguro tama yong sinabi sa akin na hindi lahat ang mahirap, kasi sa aming pamilya walang isang nakakuha ng 4PS na hindi naman kami mayaman. Cguro ang 4PS ay hindi para sa mahihirap, ang 4PS ay para lang kung sino ang ilagay sa listahan kahit ano pa kayo. Nag tatanong pa din ako para maalamn ko ang lahat. May isang pamilya nagtrabaho sa Cebu City, hindi cla nakatira sa probinsya pero na shock talaga ako na nalaman ko , member cya ng 4PS bago lang. Na kapag tataka ako bakit , hindi pa cla nakatira dito miembro pa cla. Umuwi lang cla ng probinsya para kumuha ng pera tapos balik ulit ng City. Nagtatanong pa palagi ako kasi may nakikita pa akong mas mahirap pa sa amin pero hindi din na miembro ng 4PS. Paliwang yong nag dala ng lista, Computer daw ang nag pick-up ng pangalan kaya hindi cla na dala sa 4PS. Yon lang. Computer lang and nag generate kung cno ang makakuha bg 4PS.
